Quietly Delivered

This fund stands firmly on principle rather than ideology. Its mission is to support people who face real and urgent threats, focusing on solutions that truly protect and empower them. What drives the giving is neither belief nor identity, but clear need and practical impact.
At the heart of the fund lies Rational Love — the disciplined commitment to applying reason, clarity, and courage to make a difference. It refuses drama, ego, or political posturing, choosing instead steady, purposeful action.
David Silverman gives because he sees people in danger and responds with help that matters. His giving aims to change lives, not to prove a point or win arguments.
The fund prioritizes strategy over sentiment and measurable results over appearances. There are no fundraising tiers, no public campaigns, and no performative gestures. Instead, it channels focused, thoughtful effort into real-world outcomes that last.
For decades, David Silverman stood at the the forefront of atheist civil rights. As president of American Atheists, he challenged religious privilege openly and fought tirelessly for the rights of nonbelievers. His approach was direct, principled, and relentless.
Since stepping away from public life, David has turned to giving in a more private way. He now supports projects that provide safety, shelter, and stability for individuals who face persecution and hardship. This fund grew out of that shift in focus.

As Chair of the Advisory Board at Atheists for Liberty, David supports one of the few U.S. organizations still defending secular civil rights without ideological drift. This work continues in the background. It is measured, constitutional, and strategically clear.
This fund remains rooted in Enlightenment principles: objective truth, civil liberty, free inquiry, and individual dignity. It protects the freedom to believe, or disbelieve, without fear, stigma, or coercion.
This site is not a platform for performance. It’s a window into quiet, strategic work that’s already in motion.
You’ll find short updates, field notes, and reflections not campaigns. If you’re curious, you’ll know where to look. If not, the work continues anyway.
